The idea behind To-Go Ware is simple: eating food while on the run doesn't have to be a wasteful affair. The To-Go Ware brand was developed by Stephanie Bernstein who founded in the company in 1997 due to her concerns about the large amount of waste that was created in the area just around her college campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The mission of To-Go Ware is to provide alternatives to plastic bags, paper bags, styrofoam containers and plastic flatware that are easy to use and simple to clean.

All of the products in the To-Go Ware collection are made from eco-friendly materials. The stainless steel containers are free of BPA and other additives that are often used in the lining of metal products. Plastic in silverware and chopsticks is replaced by sustainable bamboo, which is sturdy, antibacterial and resilient enough to be reused again and again. All of the fabrics used in the To-Go Ware range are even made from recycled plastic, meaning they put previous waste to good use while helping to reduce waste for future generations.
