The founders of Instinctive are no strangers to the book bag industry. The duo worked for major bag manufacturers for 8 years and designed some of the most popular looks in their collections, but despite their success, the pair didn't feel satisfied. While their bags were practical and loved by users, they didn't give back to the planet and would likely be replaced within a few years for an updated style. Together, Ryan and Anne came up with a big idea that combined their love of nature with their skill in design. They created Instinctive as a brand that would have a positive environmental impact and still be practical for users.

All Instinctive backpacks are made of polyester crafted from recycled plastic bottles, and the brand features a Lifetime Takeback Policy on all of its bags. When you're ready for a newer style, you can return your bag to the manufacturer for recycling and select a new model for free. Plus, the company donates 5 percent of all sales to environmental charities.
