Ingredients: garbanzo beans

Part of the legume family of beans. These widely used beige little legumes are packed with a nutritious punch. Known by its many names such as chickpea's, Kabuli Channa, Egyptian peas, Bengal gram,  and Ceci beans. An essential ingredients in dishes like chole channa, hummus, tahini, and falafals. A Popular dish in India is the chana masala, which consists of chickpeas stewed with onions, tomatoes and spices. Makes for a hearty meal. 

What makes Garbanzo beans special is that they contain high amounts of folate and Manganese, along with high amounts of daily value of fiber. A perfect addition to any meal. 

How to cook garbanzo beans: Soak the beans overnight. Drain water and replace with fresh, water for cooking. Place on stove and bring to a boil in a pot with a lid. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, tilting the lid slightly to allow steam to escape, and leave to cook until tender.
